Jeffrey Reddick made his first connection to the film industry, at age 14, when he wrote a prequel to A Nightmare on Elm Street and mailed it Bob Shaye, the President of New Line Cinema. Bob returned the unsolicited material. But the persistent young kid, from Eastern Kentucky, wrote Bob a passionate letter and won him over. Five years later, when Jeffrey went to New York, at age 19, Bob Shaye offered him an internship at New Line Cinema, which turned into an 11-year stint at the studio.
Jeffrey shot to horror fame with the creation of the Final Destination film franchise, which has spawned four sequels. Jeffrey has sold, or optioned, over 35 projects for film and television, as both a writer and producer. Other produced credits include Lionsgate’s thriller, Tamara, the remake of George Romero’s classic, Day of the Dead and the recently released Dead Awake, starring Jocelin Donahue, Jesse Bradford and Lori Petty.
Jeffrey just finished a network stint working as a story editor on the hit NBC series Midnight, Texas. Next up, Jeffrey is preparing his feature directorial debut, Good Samaritan, starring Crystal Reed, Virginia Madsen, Sean Gunn and Jackson Rathbone. Recent feature projects also include the recently shot supernatural thriller, The Final Wish, which he wrote and produced for Status Media starring Michael Welch, Lin Shaye, Spencer Locke and Tony Todd. Superstition, which films this summer for Ingenious Media and stars Ludacris, Lauryn McLain, Shad Moss and Edward James Olmos. Jeffrey is also producing The Harrowing for Cinelou Films, based on his original story and scripted by Black List writers Matt Leslie and Stephen Smith.
