Imaginarium 2023 proudly welcomes author and historian Jeff Mudgett as an Imaginator Guest! Jeff is the author of Bloodstains, the book that became the basis for the popular History Channel limited series American Ripper!
The book and series are accounts of Jeff’s extensive investigation into his great-great grandfather, Herman Webster Mudgett, who is better known to history by his alias, H.H. Holmes, often regarded as America’s first serial killer! The investigation led to Jeff’s theory, which he spoke of in a 2015 TEDx Talk, that H.H. Holmes could possibly be the same person as the infamous Jack the Ripper!
An attorney into his forties, Jeff practiced admiralty, petroleum, and criminal law before the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and California Supreme Court. He currently is working on a novel, a new publishing venture, and continuing his investigations about H.H. Holmes!
