BRIAN K. MORRIS is an award-winning author, editor, publisher, Facebook-famous YouTuber, and former mortician’s assistant. His work has appeared in many New Pulp publications, as well as his own Rising Tide Publications and Freelance Words imprints.
A prolific, in-demand multi-genre writer, Brian’s latest offerings include Pulp Fiction Awards nominee, The Terrors, a socially conscious reinterpretation of the classic Black Terror comic book character from Rising Tide Publications. His latest novel, Quest for the Delphi Oculus from Flinch Books, is a tale of the battle to gain a powerful alien artifact in a story that’s a combination of Ian Fleming and The Prisoner.
Past works include The Original Skyman Battles the Master of Steam and Santastein: The Post-Holiday Prometheus. He’s also written for Stormgate Press, Becky Books, Pro Se Press, Crazy 8 Press, and Blue Planet Press, with more to come.
Besides editing Eric Hawkins’ comic book series, The Zombieful World of Oz (Stone Door Studios), Brian serves as an editorial consultant for several other independent comic book publishers. He has also written comic scripts for ACE Comics, Bevson Enterprises, and Silver Phoenix Entertainment.
Brian won the 2023 Pulp Factory Award for Best Short Story (“Snow Ambition” for BEN Books, based on Bobby Nash’s Abraham Snow character). He won another award in 1997 for not murdering the director of his first stage play.
An Illinois native, Brian now lives in Central Indiana with his wife, Cookie, who is also a freelance editor and book designer, along with no children, no pets, and too many comic books. He’s also tickled to return to Imaginarium.
