Deaton Gabbard has worn many hats over the years in the film community. His main focus is being a working actor with over 7 years of on-camera experience and 5 years of training with various prestigious schools and teachers including Matt Newton Acting Studio, The Houde School of Acting, Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio, James Ciccone’s: Show Up To Book the Role, and Andi Matheny Studios. Over the years, he has had a plethora of varying lead and supporting roles most recently being seen as the title character in the action-packed Renegade: The Series (which he also is an Executive Producer on,) Tubi/Asylum Original “Earthquake Underground,” “Ganymede,” “Renaissance Kid,” the short film “Your Husband Was a Good Man” and coming soon Dread Central’s “Bystanders.”
In addition to acting, Deaton is also a director, producer, casting director, editor, screenwriter, and podcaster. He directed and starred in a supporting role in the short film “The Demon Box” which is an Official Selection at Imaginarium this year. He co-wrote and is line-producing the Kentucky based action/thriller horror-mystery “Deep Within the Caves” shooting in August and September of 2024. This is his most ambitious undertaking yet as it was in active development since 2022 with his production company Cobra Pit Productions LLC which is co-founded by Cameron Dyer. Deaton also co-hosts Podcast of Traveling Actors with another working Louisville actor, Brandon Wall, in which they discuss the Southeast market of film and television and have local filmmakers, actors, and musicians on to talk about their careers while diving into the psychology of each of their chosen career paths.
