Lee is an author of an amalgam of styles and themes of dark fantasy, weird fiction, and sci-fi, which he calls New Weird Mythology, a type of storytelling that takes old world mythological beings and lore, and casts them into the 20th and 21st century and beyond, as though they have always been with us.
