Fantasy author Nancy E. Dunne has been writing stories since she was a child. Raised by educators, she learned early on to appreciate the value of good grammar and even better imagination. After three decades of work as a nationally certified American Sign Language/Spoken English Interpreter, she published her first fantasy novel in 2017 and hasn’t looked back since.
Her Orana Chronicles, an epic sword and sorcery fantasy, currently contains two completed series, one ongoing, and several more in the pipeline. Branching out into portal fantasy, she has published one novel so far in her World of Arcstone series with another slated for publication early in 2023. She’s also come dangerously steampunk adjacent last fall with Strid, the first book in her new gaslamp series, Luminous Beings. More to come there as well! Finally, we go back to the start of her writing career with her Proud Racer and Clobberpaws YA books about her dogs told from their perspectives.
Nancy lives in the Upstate of South Carolina with her Irish Wolfhounds, Bryn and Ciaragh, her terrier mix, Willow, and her husband, Simon. She spends her free time writing and gaming, as well as performing with the Georgia and Carolina Renaissance Festivals in the group she founded in 2001, The Hounds of East Fairhaven.
